WHAT DOES THE CROCKER
HIGHLANDS PTA DO?
The Crocker Highlands Parent Teacher Association (PTA) works
with the Principal, teacher representatives, and the parent members to ensure
the delivery of high-quality programs that enhance each child’s education. It is solely responsible for funding three
enrichment programs: physical education,
vocal music, and computer instruction, as well as the library aide. In addition to the professional staff it
hires, the PTA’s Program Team organizes many different activities, events, and
teams including:

WHERE DO THE PTA FUNDS
COME FROM?
To deliver the roughly $180,000 budget that our staff and
programs require, our Fundraising Team oversees seven principal fundraisers. We also raise funds by
participating in the eScrip and General Mills’ ”Box
Tops for Education” programs.

WHY SHOULD I BECOME A
MEMBER OF THE PTA?
PTA Membership:

Benefits your child and the school.
Research has proven that kids do better in school when parents are
involved. Grades are higher, test scores
improve, and attendance increases.

The PTA and its functions are opportunities to meet other parents and
teachers, build rapport, and discuss ideas.
